Autism is a disorder of the brain that diminishes ones ability to effectively communicate with others, effectively interact with others and may cause inhibited or repititious behavior.
With the number of reported cases in children being greater than that of juvenile diabetes, this disease is affecting those near and dear to the one who is autistic.
Recently, Silver Mountain Productions had the pleasure of teaming up with Autism Speaks, a Dallas-based organization that raises funds and awareness for autism, and produced a video with Ashley Melnick, Miss Texas 2010 as she spoke about what this disease means to her and how it has affected her and her family.
A benefit concert was recently held in Dallas to help raise funds for autism research. Silver Mountain Productions donated their resources to record the concert so the video could be used to help raise funds in the future for autism research.
